Although we use the name "The North East Charities Fund" for all donations and storage of money until it is donated to the benefiting charities, we donate funds to children's charities anywhere within the UK. We are currently donating large amounts of funds (in regards to a percentage of our income) to the following charities:

Tommy's Campaign
Tommy's Campaign is dedicated to finding the answers to problem pregnancies and miscarriages. They also give valuable information to expectant parents as to how to care for their unborn child.
Schools
Many schools around the UK now collect there own cartridges, as well as those from the pupils parents, and donate them to the PCR scheme. In return for this 100% of all funds raised by each school is donated back to the school to be used for the benefit of the pupils. If your school wishes to take part please sign up to the charity.

South Tyneside Special Care Baby Unit
Special Care Baby Unit’s (SCBU’s) are based at most major Hospitals around the UK. They provides intensive treatment and care for premature and sick babies.

As well as those charities named above many others benefit from The PCR Scheme including youth clubs and other large charities which often receive a 'one off' donation from the scheme.

If you sign up for the scheme then you can decide which charities you would like your donations of cartridges to benefit from, as long as you use collection boxes (generally companies). Otherwise we will pool them into "The North East Charities Fund" where they will be distributed to charities chosen by the recycling team and collection companies at the time of collection.

The PCR Scheme is grateful to the following organisations for their continued support.
