From today for 2 weeks I am on holiday. Unfortunately I will be unable to receive any phone calls or emails. Any problems during my holiday will have to wait until my return on August the 7th. Please note that it will be more reliable to email me any problems so that my telco does not erase messages after a set period and therefore before I receive them.

Today I have also released the Financial Results for the year 2001-2002. These are available in a MS Word file here. This file is guaranteed to be virus free and does not use any macros. If you are a current supporter or considering joining then please have a look at the results. They are amazing and go to prove that we do not take any money you raise for granted.

To help cut costs and improve efficiency a new section has been added to the website. This part of the site is going to be used for all new signups. This will be instead of sending a letter out to members. This will improve costs because P&P is currently our largest over head. Because of the information contained in this section it is not available to the general public. If you are a member and have lost the link please email me.

I am extremely pleased (and relieved) to announce that I now have a new batch of our "Freepost" Envelopes! If you require some more please email me at Supporter@cartridge-recycling.org.uk. If you have been waiting for these - I am sorry for the delay and I know it is about time they arrived but it is beyond my control on how quick they take to deliver from the recycling company (and yes I know 5 months is excessive!!!)

Today the NECF handed over a cheque for over £100 to SS. Peter And Pauls RC Primary school! The money donated was 100% of what they raised themselves via recycling there own cartridges and that of local companies. If your school would like to collect your empty cartridges for your own school funds visit our Signup page and select the "Corporate" signup option..

The NECF's newly founded management team today decided that all money raised from now on will be built up in a fund before being donated in bulk to all the relevant charities. This will allow us to donate more to charity as our admin costs will be reduced and as we do not make a personal profit or get wages, this increase in funding can be passed directly onto the charities we support.

Today the North East Charities fund was informed of a new redemption rate for our printer cartridges. The recycling company concerned (Environmental Business Products) assured me that even though point to cash values have decreased by 10p per point the number of points given per cartridge has risen. For new price values please see the
Acceptable Cartridges Section.
